Apple and Quince Bread Pudding

Sweet, tart, creamy, with just a hint of booze. An incredible autumn treat on a cold day.

1 loaf Italian bread
2 cups heavy cream
1 diced quince
1 diced Golden Delicious Apple
1 cup sugar
4  eggs
3 tbs butter
1/4 ts cinnamon
1/4 ts nutmeg
1/2 ts vanilla
1/3 cup (Johnny Walker) whiskey

Directions

Preheat Oven to 350

Melt butter in pan with whiskey and throw apples and quince. Cook until tender and slightly golden. Remove and let cool.

In the meanwhile cut Italian bread into bite size pieces. Mix together cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon until well blended. Grease oven safe bowl. Toss in bread a fruit mixture and let sit for 15 minutes.

Cook for 45-60 minutes until golden brown.
